The Oldest and Youngest Medal of Honor recipitants together. NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK (11 November 2011) - The Veteran’s Day Parade with the oldest living recipient, 94 year old, retired Army M/Sgt. Nicolas Oresko, with 23 year old, Sgt. Dakota Meyer. Following the death of Barney F. Hajiro in January 2011, Oresko became the oldest living Medal of Honor recipient. Oresko currently lives in Cresskill, New Jersey. Bayonne School #14 was renamed in his honor in July 2010.
