Stone Temple Pilots formed when singer Scott Weiland and guitarist Rob DiLeo met at a concert. They began discussing their girlfriends and eventually realized they were both dating the same girl. Instead of letting this come between them, they both dumped the girl, bonded over it and formed Stone Temple Pilots.
